MobileGuardian Brings It Home - Coral Springs, FL
After his truck was stolen from his own home, William admitted he had not given MobileGuardian a “second thought” in almost a year, but said that it “more than paid for itself that morning,” when his truck was located and recovered in less than one hour.
When William Gill purchased his 1999 Dodge Pick-up in July of 2003, he also purchased MobileGuardian, an anti-theft vehicle location and recovery system. After the installation, Mr. Gill never thought about the MobileGuardian unit again. That is, until he walked out his home at 7:40 a.m. on June 15, 2004, and realized that his Dodge truck had been stolen.
Mr. Gill immediately called the Coral Springs Police Department to report the incident; the police dispatched a near-by patrol car to his home to take the report. The police arrived a few minutes later as Mr. Gill logged into the MobileGuardian web site, ordering a “locate” on his vehicle. At 8:07 a.m., the web site indicated that the vehicle was parked at a West Palm Beach address. Mr. Gill immediately sent a signal to disable the vehicle, preventing anyone from being able to restart the vehicle and move it before it could be recovered. The Police Department in West Palm Beach then verified that the vehicle was in fact at the location shown on the web site, and helped Mr. Gill recover his vehicle.
Mr. Gill called MobileGuardian to tell them how glad he was to have purchased the “tracking device”. Though he had not given it a “second thought” in almost a year, he said that it “more than paid for itself that morning”.
The vehicle was located and recovered in less than an hour. Mr. Gill stated that the vehicle had only minimum damage. Arrests are pending in this case.
